I’m Patrick Dunbar, and I’ve known I wanted to be an engineer for as long as I can remember. My journey started at Montana State University, where I studied Mechanical Engineering and gained lifelong skills that have shaped my career. 

Since graduating in May 2007, I’ve been managing, engineering, and designing products and systems. I’m currently a Master-level Project Manager with Sundyne’s complex projects team. Before this, I was the sole project manager for the diaphragm compressors product line, supporting industrial processes, semiconductor, and solar PV manufacturing for over eight years. In that role, I led projects and guided engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams for the hermetically sealed reciprocating diaphragm compressor line under Sundyne’s PPI (Pressure Products Industries) sub-brand. I also spent two years as product line engineering manager before a dedicated value stream manager was brought on. As the manager, I juggle multiple projects while helping teams grow our product line, increase market share, plan staffing and resources, and work closely with customers and suppliers around the world.

In my previous position at Tetra Tech Rooney, I was the project engineer/manager for a pipeline midway terminal designed for custody transfer of batched liquid propane and butane into a customer’s pipeline, where I was the sole mechanical engineer overseeing the integration of civil grading, piping design, equipment specifications, calculations, material requisitions, and drawing development for a customer site.
